The Iron Bridge

Landmark to the village, The Iron Bridge is an impressive cast iron arch bridge that spans across the width of the River Severn. Opened in 1871, it is the first major bridge in the world to be made of cast iron. Today, the bridge is considered an iconic symbol of the Industrial Revolution, with visitors from across the globe taking a trip to observe the structure in all its glory.
